How do we remove a possum in Prospect?
An open eave is a long entry, so a hatch is fitted over the section the possum uses and the rest of that run is meshed on the day, leaving the animal one way out at dusk and none back in. Where the entry is the porch gable, a one-way door does the job. A cage in the roof space is kept for the rare bungalow with an eave open on every side, and the animal goes back onto the block that evening under the licence.

Yes. The eave is closed along the wall plate with steel mesh fitted between the rafters and painted out, so from the footpath the bungalow still shows its open eaves and exposed rafters. The porch gable vent is meshed behind the timber, and the lean-to junction is reflashed. All before the possum returns from the plane tree.
